Savina was an excellent guide. Informed us with step by step expectations. Made our trip so pleasant. 4 hours in Pompeii was not enough to see it all of course but was perfect for us. Third time we used TripAdvisor and will definitely use it on future trips.
A visit to Pompeii via the high speed train is both doable and an exceptional opportunity even if you have just a few days in the Rome area. The tour includes the option for private exploration if you skip the group meal/excursion following the tour. In Rome, the monuments testify to the glory and power of Rome. In Pompeii, the silent ruins give great insight into how Romans of different social statuses actually lived. The buildings with mosaics, frescoes, and other decorations bring the city to life. Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. It was quite hot, which was the only downside, so bring more water than you think you need. The stone buildings and street absorb, then reflect the heat.

This trip was fabulous. The train was speedy and Pompei was amazing. Our guide Savina was brilliant. Had us organised on and off the train and bus with precision. She is also full of great insights and a lovely person.
The fast train tour without extra programs (winery, Amalfi Coast, etc.) gives you the longest stay in Pompeii. And no one should think that 4 to 5 hours is too long – there is so much to see that we would have liked another hour at the end. Everything from the meeting to the assistance on the train to the bus ride on to the archaeological park was perfectly organized by Laura - personable and with excellent English. Thank you very much. It doesn't get any better than this!

Excellent trip. They handle all the logistics and transportation and you have 5 hours free to explore Pompeii at your pace and focus on what you want to see. Highly recommended!
It was wonderful to have a guide to help navigate the train station! It's a pretty overwhelming place! Also, wonderful to have a private bus for our group from Naples to Pompeii! Our guide, Savina, was knowledgeable and very sweet! Having 5 hours to look around Pompeii was worh the extra money!
Great experience-thank you or grazie. Went on the trip without a guide as we were happy to walk around the site ourselves. Firstly, communication prior to the trip was super. Very clear and helpful. Arrived at train station and we were met by Emiliano. He was organised, polite and very approacable. Got on the train that took us swiftly to Naples. From there a comfy minibus and then we were in. Pompeii is incredible. Of course it is hot and a hard walk, but people are warned about that so have no justicfication for complaints. Finished at 4.20, back to the station and then into Rome by just after 7. Thanks for a thorough experience. My partner has not been before and she cried (happy tears) at the event. The size of the place and what is still there really amazed her. Ciao
