I particularly booked this tour because it included "arena floor access." We originally had another one booked and a month before they told us they no longer were able to include arena floor, so we switched to this. The disappointing part was it ONLY included arena floor...I'd say we were inside the Colosseum for maybe only 20 minutes! I thought we would also get to go to the higher levels (where "normal" tours go) to see more of it and from different views, so that was a bummer. Nadya was a lovely guide, but as English isn't her first language, I feel there was information lost in translation. She was endearing how often she spoke in triplicate - "arches, arches arches! Gladios, gladios, gladios!" It is quite an uphill hike up to the top of Palatine Hill, but glad that was included and the Roman Forum. But in general wish more than 1/6 of the two hour tour was actually inside the Colosseum, and I feel we could have learned alot more.

We loved this tour! Our guide, Luigi, was superb. He was exactly where the pickup spot said he would be and easy to spot. He made us all feel at ease. He was such a wealth of knowledge and information about Roman history, and his manner of sharing it was so enjoyable, that it made the tour fly by. It did not feel too long or drag on, even though the tour was 3 hours. Our group only had 12 people in it, so we didn’t feel like we were lost in the shuffle, or that we didn’t get personal attention. We purchased the ItaliaPass through ItaliRail, and this tour was included for free! It’s definitely worth it!

Our guide (Corinna) was very knowledgeable, she answered every question. Knew all about the gladiators. We were there on a very hot day, the tour involves standing for long periods and can be tiring in the heat. We also walked over to the forum, very fascinating place. Bucket list ticked again.

My guide, Anastasia, did her job so well! She was well versed in the history of the Colleseum and made the tour interactive and fun. Seeing the Colleseum, the gladiators entrance and Paletine hill was the most memorable experience of my trip to Rome.
