We had a really enjoyable day on this tour, and our guide Mariana was a big reason why. She was upbeat from the moment we met her, and her energy set a great tone for the whole group. Mariana was clear and easy to follow at every stop. She explained the history of Montserrat and the monastery in a way that was interesting without ever feeling rushed, and she always made sure we knew exactly where and when to meet after free time. She was also very patient, happily answering everyone's questions and making sure no one felt left behind. Her knowledge really stood out, both on the mountain and later at the winery, where she helped us understand the wines we were tasting. The cogwheel train ride, the stunning views, and the wine and tapas made for a memorable day trip from Barcelona. If you get Mariana as your guide, you're in great hands. Highly recommend!

What a great tour! We had an amazing day. The visit to the monastery, the tapas and wine tasting simply delicious but what made our day so special was the enthusiasm of our guide Mariana! Jerai was fantastic! He made our visit to the monastery and winery so much fun. He was funny, knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate about the area. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and had a great time. Overall, just a really great guy and an excellent guide. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic day in Montserrat and couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Yerai. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. We learned a lot about Montserrat, the monastery and the Black Madonna, while still having enough time to simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The combination of the rack railway, the guided visit of the basilica, the delicious 3-course lunch and the wine tasting at the medieval winery was really well organized. The winery was a particularly beautiful way to end the day. Yerai was attentive throughout the whole tour, explained everything in an engaging way and created a great atmosphere within the small group. A wonderful experience from beginning to end – highly recommended!

Xavi is an excellent guide and person! 10/10

Xavi was the absolute best tour guide I’ve had in all of Barcelona. I wish he would narrate all of the destinations in Barcelona. He was extremely knowledgeable and above all else, hilarious and he has a kind soul.

Those was wonderful was one of my favorite tours of all time.

Papa Bear was wonderful. The tour was wonderful. For the price, I would say it was worth it. The trip is v easy going and relaxing—not too much in terms of walking and v leisurely. In between our trip, it was perfect for a “rest” day. Monserrat is semi-crowded, however your winery portion is a decent size. Montserrat is perfect for not only those who love architecture, nature and mountains—but those who just adore visiting churches (plus wine ofc). The only thing that I will say was rather confusing was while we saw the Black Madonna, by the time we came back we couldn’t go in the Basilica bc the guards said we needed to be in w the tour guide. It was weird. But the tour was fun regardless and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
