After a week of temples and tombs, this tour finally showed a side of ancient Egypt that most visitors never see. Deir el-Medina was the standout — a complete workers' village with houses, streets, and humble tombs, all of it making the pyramids-and-pharaohs story feel suddenly human. The Valley of the Queens was calm and beautifully painted, and Medinet Habu, with its towering pylons and carved battle scenes, was far bigger than expected. The guide's explanations were detailed without becoming lectures, and he happily answered every question. The private car was spotless and the timing was flawless. A thoughtful, unhurried day that added real depth to the whole trip.
