This tour goes to places outside of the usual Luxor tour included in cruises. Yet these places are still worth going to. Only lasts half a day, so you can rest in the afternoon. The driver was on time for the pickup. The vehicle had good aircon. The guide was professional and answered all the questions I had.
We had an excellent private tour with our guide, Owfi, and I would highly recommend both him and this tour to anyone visiting Luxor. From the moment I booked the tour from Australia, Owfi was incredibly responsive. He confirmed the booking immediately and let me know he would stay in touch closer to the date. As our tour approached, he maintained excellent communication through the Viator platform, which gave us great confidence before we even arrived. He collected us from the Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa right on time and explained the itinerary for the day. What I really appreciated was that he took the time to find out what was already included in our upcoming Nile cruise so that he didn’t duplicate sites like Luxor Temple or Karnak. Instead, he tailored the day to include places that would complement the rest of our trip. That personal touch made a huge difference. Owfi is extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about Egyptology. He brought every site to life with fascinating stories and historical insights, and he was always happy to answer our questions. It was a very hot day (around 35°C), and he was incredibly thoughtful throughout. He regularly checked that we were comfortable, offered to buy us cold bottled water when we ran out, and adjusted the pace of the tour to suit us. My friend became tired from the heat, so Owfi was very understanding and flexible. I continued exploring with him while my friend rested, and I’m so glad I did. The vehicle was spotless, comfortable, and air-conditioned, and throughout the day Owfi was friendly, professional, well-presented, and genuinely cared about making sure we had the best possible experience. We felt we received excellent value for money and thoroughly enjoyed our day. If you’re looking for a private tour with a guide who is knowledgeable, flexible, professional, and passionate about sharing the history of Egypt, I would absolutely recommend this tour and Owfi. Five stars!
