Jorge was an excellent guide and provided great information on the history of Montevideo and the culture of Uruguay mixed with plenty of humour! He also provided great tips on other things to do in Montevideo including museums, restaurants and bars.
It has been a wonderful experience. Despite having been to Montevideo many times, we have been surprised by the number of things there are to learn and the history that this city and this country have. Our guide, Lautaro, was key to our tour, being super approachable, pleasant, fun, and having profound knowledge of the history of the place. A luxury and highly recommended.

We are locals, 5 Uruguayans doing the free walking tour. We walked through the Old City, Mausoleum, Solis, Cabildo, Plaza Matriz (of the Constitution, otherwise Juan Pablo will say we didn't learn anything), Plaza Zabala, and the Port Market. Serious yet fun guides who love history, tell it very well, and enjoy their work. Great advice on where to eat chivitos and barbecue and what to visit. They offer an overview of the history of Uruguay to understand a bit more. Very good, let's go!
We saw a bit of the old town of Montevideo but I felt the tour could have gone into more of the history of Uruguay and also talked about a few of the tourist things in more detail. Our guide tried to be funny a lot but ended up just making people feel unsure of anything he was telling us was true.
We took a tour with Juan Pablo (aka JP) and had a superb tour experience. He was very informative and enthusiastic of the city. There was even a challenging tour attendee whom he was able to handle it professionally. Definitely recommend this tour as it was a great way to learn about the city and walk the old part of town.

I did the walking tour guided by Jorge who was attentive and gave good information about Montevidéu, mate, the history of the country, and the city as well as recommendations of what to do there. The only issue that I think important to highlight is that the contribution to the end has to be in kind and preferably in the local currency, the day I did not have the local currency and had not found ATM to withdraw money previously...
