Hobbit Trip
Our trip from Auckland to the Hobbiton Movie Set was seamless and so much fun. Trent, our driver, made the whole experience—he had our tickets ready at arrival, played great music, and shared fun stories about New Zealand along the way.
The set itself feels like stepping into The Lord of the Rings—absolutely magical. Highly recommend!

Fantastic tour.
Had a wonderful adventure to Hobbiton. Our tour guide Alessarndro was fantastic gave us alot knowledge about Auckland and surrounding areas. Very patient. Very kind. Even stopped off at a remarkable ice cream shop. A+ all around.

Wow. This was a very long...
Wow. This was a very long day but completely worth the trek from Auckland. The drive lets you see a lot of beautiful countryside especially on the trip back
Hobbiton? The visit was much better than we expected. Somehow, it didn’t feel touristy at all, just very well done, with friendly guides, beautiful scenery and good stories. Everything ran smoothly, but you didn’t feel processed and you didn’t even feel like there were many people around

That’s such a good way to put it. It’s a long day on the road, but the countryside and the change of pace once you arrive make it feel worthwhile. Hobbiton really does strike that balance of being beautifully done without feeling rushed or overly touristy, so it’s great to hear that came through for you.

Hobbitton tour experience
Grant was amazing. He took great care of us, including keeping us safe, great information about the region and the tour, and really wonderful local tips. He was fun and very attentive. I highly recommend it.

Great for “Lord of the Rings” Enthusiasts or Just for Fun
Cheeky Kiwi Travel certainly provided us a safe trip out to The Hobbiton movie set, by Nickey. This was an anticipated destination for my husband while we visited New Zealand. We very much enjoyed the countryside on our way to & back from the Hobbiton movie set, and the tour on site of the Alexander Farm was truly fun & enjoyed. It provided our first full day in Auckland with a lovely memory. If you’re looking for something a bit different… then take in this tour. The “Shire” is so cute and interesting!!!
