Andrew takes you to places you can’t get to on your own and that give you a far broader insight on the history of this place. He has extensive knowledge on Eastern Europe Soviet Union history which makes it even more interesting. I also got loads of great tips for going to Bender and Tiraspol by foot, i.e: monuments, mosaics, and special restaurants. My trip to Pridnestrovie was fantastic and Andrew had a great part in it. Highly recommended!

It was a very interesting and highly satisfying tour. We were able to visit places that are not normally accessible through standard sightseeing, and I really felt the unique atmosphere and history of both the Soviet Union and Transnistria. The guide’s explanations were clear and informative. Rather than simply visiting the sites, we also learned about the historical background of each place and the surrounding area, which made the experience much more meaningful. Even if you are not particularly interested in the Soviet era, I still think this tour is well worth taking. Transportation and guidance throughout the tour were smooth, and I had no problems joining as a solo traveler. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience a different side of Transnistria beyond the usual city sightseeing.

What an incredibly unique excursion! This tour reveals a completely different side of Transnistria. We visited places that the average tourist rarely sees, ranging from hidden bunkers and a former Soviet anti-hail rocket station to impressive underground limestone tunnels. It was the combination of history, adventure, and the beautiful surroundings that made this excursion truly special. Natalia is a fantastic guide. Having been born and raised in Transnistria, she possesses a wealth of knowledge about the history and the sites you visit. Her local insights made the tour personal and engaging, and her English was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to discover Transnistria in a completely different way. Unique, adventurous, and—above all—an experience you won't soon forget!

Really interesting to hear both the history and current feelings around Pridnestrovie / Transnistria. Andrew had plenty of stories about the state of the nation and people in 2026, as well as showing some fascinating places from the past. I've been to a number of Urbex / abandoned place tours in various countries, and this was great. He also listed some interesting other places to visit around Bender and Tiraspol later but sadly we didn't have time to check them out ... next visit! We did the tour early in the day, which was good given the summer heat - stayed overnight in Tirsapol. I'd also recommend that - good to see the city in the evening, which you don't get with a single-day trip.
