But now, I deeply understand why they exist. Above all, Anton showed me just how incredibly valuable my own life is. When you compare your own reality to life in Transnistria (or Pridnestrovie, as it is called now)—a country unrecognized by the rest of the world—you realize that you are actually the richest person on Earth. This personal connection with Anton became one of the most defining moments of my life.We were on the road for about 12 hours in total, spending a solid 8 to 9 hours with Anton and his friend Dima. Although I was a little nervous on my first visit to the Transnistrian Republic, the guide, Anton, told me about the history, the current situation of the Transnistrian Republic, and people's lives, which was very educational. It was the best tour where I could feel not only the Soviet atmosphere but also the beautiful nature and the lives of the people.

If you want to visit Pridnestrovie (Transnistria), Anton is the perfect person to go with. There are two main ways to experience Pridnestrovie: you can take a guide from Chișinău, Moldova, who will explain the history and facts to you, or you can go with a local who actually lives in Pridnestrovie. With Anton, you get the chance to learn what it is really like to live in an unrecognized country and hear about the challenges and everyday realities from someone who knows the place firsthand. Of course, you will still learn about the history, but from a different perspective. And if you want the other perspective, you can always find plenty of information about it online anyway. For me, Anton is much more than just a guide, he is an experience. He asks questions and encourages you to think about things for yourself rather than simply giving you a standard explanation. I really appreciated that approach. He also showed me places that were a little off the usual tourist route, which gave me an even better sense of what the place is really like. I honestly have nothing to complain about. Anton also helped arrange my transfers from Chișinău all the way to Tiraspol. I stayed overnight, and the following day he arranged the transfer back for me as well, which made everything very easy. I really appreciated the experience and would definitely recommend checking out Pridnestrovie with Anton if you want to see and understand the place from a local perspective.

Anton did his absolute best to showcase all aspects of Tiraspol. His very cerebral and deep psychological approach is what separates Anton from your typical bla bla bla tourist guide. A sharp thinker, quick with creative replies, and first and foremost a genuinely rare and intelligent person who is able to keep your attention, constantly find new places and stories to tell, and connect them to the people he is guiding. He is a real people person who tries — and succeeds — to understand what makes people relate to a place, its history, and its stories.

What an amazing experience. Anton showed us the real life, struggles, and aspirations of the Pridnestrovian people. Instead of just showing us historical landmarks, he connected us with locals and shared his own personal stories. It was completely different from any tour we’ve ever taken before. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience! Felt more like travelling with a local friend than a tour.

I trusted Anton and now I have a different perspective about a lot of subjects. He is a modern-day polymath working tirelessly in a country that officially does not exist. Forget the standard Chișinău guides who parachute in daily to recite the same polished, Wikipedia-level facts. Anton is a genuine Renaissance man who seamlessly blends ordinary labor with art, poetry, music, and the creation of brilliantly uncompromising tours. He delivers a sharply sarcastic, deeply balanced masterclass on the multifaceted history of the USSR and Pridnestrovie, serving up the good, the bad, and the beautifully absurd. Be warned: if you choose Anton, he will mess with your head and force you to think entirely outside of your comfortable box. You will not leave this experiment as the same person who walked in. If you want a remarkably reliable historian and a profoundly authentic guide, look no further.

We had an absolutely great day with Anton in Transnistria. What I really liked was how authentic the whole experience felt. It was not just visiting the usual sights, taking some pictures and leaving again. We got a lot of historical background, saw the well known places but also went off the beaten path and got a much better feeling for the region and how people actually live there. Anton knows an incredible amount about the history and the current situation and was open to basically every question we had. There were several moments during the day that I definitely did not expect and I don't want to spoil them here because that's part of what made the tour so good. I have travelled a lot around Europe, but this was genuinely one of the most interesting and unusual day trips I have done. If you are interested in history, the former Soviet Union and places that are completely different from the usual European tourist destinations, I can absolutely recommend doing this tour with Anton.

Anton planned a wonderful trip to show us Priednistrovie, letting us choose what we prefered in every step of the journey and making it an unique experience that I feel no other guide could have shown us. The fact that he is a local meant that he could ask the best questions and show us a side of the country none else could. He also helped us in comunicating with other locals, learning about their thoughts about their own country, which also is something no other guide would do. In definitive, he made me realize that Priednistrovie is much more than what they show to the world, a window to the past, but also a question about the future and how the identity and recognition of a country can affect the daily life of its citizens.

Today I discovered a side of Pridnestrovie I could never have found on my own. Anton feels much more like a friend than a guide, taking you to hidden, unexplored places that let you understand the real way of life and the unique vibe of this fascinating country. A truly memorable experience that allowed me to discover a wonderful country from a completely different perspective. Una experiencia increíble, de verdad. I am really happy, that I made the trip with Anton. He showed in a very personal way his Pridnestrovie. 5h is a good time for getting a feeling what impact the soviet history plays in this small not recognised country. And what it means to the people, If a country is not recognised. I liked his approach, not directly answer questions but to forward them to passengers, who were willing to answer. I highly recommend the trip!
