Since the Danube water levels were so low we engaged a private driver in George and he was exceptional. He knew the history of the country and entire area and was a consummate guide and was very sensitive to any of our needs.. We could design the specialty stops we wanted to in addition to his suggested stops Plus he joined us for dinner @ an exclusive restaurant, the elephant, in Salzburg which was icing on the cake.
Since it was 71° C that day he made special efforts to shorten our walks and meet us around the block from museums and restaurants. Truly an exceptional person who will meet all your needs and give you excellent guidance on the things not to be missed in his country....

Magnificent
George was great! He picked us up at our hotel exactly where we told him to. He gave us enough time to explore all of the individual cities. I will definitely be booking again with them on my return to Vienna as there so many places to see and George was really knowledgeable about Vienna’s very old and beautiful history

Amazing Family Day Trip – The Highlight of Our Vacation!
We booked the private day trip to Melk, Hallstatt and Salzburg during our family vacation in Vienna, and it ended up being one of the best experiences of our entire trip. Traveling with two children, we wanted something comfortable and flexible, and this exceeded all our expectations.
Our driver arrived right on time, spoke excellent English, and made us feel welcome from the very beginning. The Mercedes was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable for the long drive. We especially appreciated being able to stop whenever we wanted for photos or short breaks.
Melk Abbey was absolutely stunning, Hallstatt looked even more beautiful than in the pictures, and Salzburg was the perfect place to finish the day. We never felt rushed and had enough time to explore each destination at our own pace.
Communication before the tour was excellent, everything was exactly as described, and the whole experience felt personal rather than like a typical tourist excursion. If you're visiting Vienna and want to see some of Austria's most beautiful places without dealing with trains or large bus groups, I highly recommend this tour. We would definitely book with Day Trips Austria again on our next visit!

Get the History as Well as the Sites
Everything about our tour was amazing. Our guide/driver (Veselin) was on time, spoke English fluently, and had an encyclopedic knowledge of the history of (and destinations in) the area. He went out of his way to make sure to make us happy and comfortable. In fact, we were so impressed that we booked Veselin for a second day. That trip was to Mauthausen. And we still didn’t see it all.
