Booked this tour at the last minute and had a great experience with Alex! Alex was very kind and knowledgeable about history and region. He knew just where to go for great pictures (and chocolate and macaroons too!). Definitely recommend if you want to see a lot in a day and learn from a local!

Our excursion with Alex was the best. From the first moment he was very attentive, kind, and approachable. We had such a great time on our private Basque Coast tour with The Local Way. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to San Sebastián. Alex was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and just really easy to spend the day with. What made the experience even more genuine was that Alex is from the Basque region, so we weren't just learning about the area, we were experiencing it through someone who actually grew up there and has a real connection to the culture, history, and people. It felt more like exploring the Basque Coast with a local friend than being on a formal tour. We saw some beautiful places, learned a lot, and never felt rushed. If you're in San Sebastián and want to experience the Basque Coast in a more personal and authentic way, I highly recommend The Local Way and definitely ask for Alex.
