We booked this tour at the last minute after finding ourselves with a free afternoon in. Charleston. We are educators who love learning and were pleasantly surprised by some of the historical notions that Godfrey brought to our attention. I will always look at Charleston different going forward. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who would like to understand the African diaspora. Well done Godfrey.

He went above and beyond with exceptional customer service and made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. His storytelling brought the history to life, and his warmth and authenticity made the tour feel like spending time with family. Highly recommend King Godfrey and the Gullah Geechee Tour!
This was a very eye opening and uncut experience of the history of Charleston. It wasn’t your cookie cutter tour but a well researched and thought provoking tour. Definitely would recommend if you want to know the actual history!

Wifey and I drove down from Philly for a few days. We did the "From Negroes Black to American Indians" bus tour. Godfrey was amazing. Knowledgeable, insightful and inspiring. His spirit and energy exude from his handshake to his words. We will spread the word up north.
