This tour is the longer of the 2 options up Mount Agung for sunrise. This is the full summit hike of approx 2000m ascent to 3100m elevation. I wouldn’t suggest for inexperienced or unfit hikers. If you have a high fitness level then expect long breaks on the way, even on solo trips. This is because the guides perfectly plan the trip to reach the summit on the break of dawn. (There’s no point being out and exposed in the dark). Pick up in Canggu was at 9pm and the transfer was super easy and comfortable. We arrived to the step off point and started hiking at 11pm. There are 5 checkpoints along the ascent for rest intervals. Checkpoint 5 is 1hr from the summit and we needed to wait there for 1.5hrs. It’s cold and windy at the top!! I survived with a wind jacket and dry long sleeve shirt at the summit but a better jacket would’ve been lovely. Long pants would also be my suggestion. Sturdy shoes with good grip are best suited. Running shoes will do but the trail is very loose with lots of scrambling. My Guide was Kadek and he is great!! Always checking if you need anything and providing updates on each stage.

The climb is challenging but worth it, Juna is a great guide and a nice person. I truly enjoyed climbing with him. The sunrise at the peak and the nature surrounding the climb is amazing.

Juna did it perfectly, we did the tour in totally 8 hours. He is pretty cool und fun to talk to. Very good guy.

This was one of the best outdoor experiences I had in Bali. The trail was steep and challenging, but the guide was knowledgeable and encouraging throughout the journey. Watching the sunrise from the summit was absolutely breathtaking, with incredible views stretching across the island. Everything was well arranged, and the breakfast after reaching the top was a perfect way to end the adventure. Highly recommended for nature lovers and hikers.

Everything was well organized from hotel pickup to the trek itself. The guide was friendly, patient, and always checked if we were doing okay during the climb. Reaching the summit just before sunrise was an amazing reward after the challenging hike. The views were absolutely stunning, and the breakfast at the top was a nice bonus. A must-do experience in Bali!

This trek was definitely one of the most challenging things I did in Bali, but the sunrise from Mount Agung made it all worth it. The guide was supportive throughout the hike and made sure everyone stayed safe. Watching the sky change colors above the clouds was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves adventure and breathtaking views

The trek is physically demanding and definitely not for everyone. There were moments I felt completely drained, especially on the steeper sections. But once you reach the top, everything changes. The sunrise, the atmosphere, and the breakfast together create such a powerful reward that makes you forget all the struggle along the way.
