If you are spending the day in Civitavecchia book this food tour with Georgiana! I promise, you won't regret it. Georgiana was so kind, very knowledgeable and went above and beyond what we expected!. Our first stop was at a bakery where we sat outside with the locals, drank Italian cappuccino and ate incredible pasty. Then it was on to the outdoor market where we sampled everything from biscotti to prosciutto to pizza (and much more). It was so fun walking though and watching Georgiana interact with the locals. We had the best time and she made us feel so welcome in her city!

A perfect day in Civitavecchia!
What a great day. Georgiana was just wonderful. She is so friendly, full of knowledge, and created just an amazing experience for us. I would recommend this tour to anyone. (But don't eat before you go. Arrive hungry!) We got to see a local's view of this port town with no crowds, no lines, just great food and great conversation. Everyone we meet as friendly and kind. We went to places we never would have found exploring on our own. If you have a day in Civitavecchia, this is the perfect way to spend it.

Authentic foods experience
We had a wonderful time. Our guide was there to greet us. Took us for a little tour of 2 churches and gave us some history while we walked to the market. We picked up foods from different places based on the group (4 of us) we had pizza prosciutto cheese olives fish bruschetta ice cream and lemoncello. We stopped at a local place by the market and had great tasting wine from the tap! Awesome experience off the tourist track . Thank you !

Wonderful local tastings with so much insight
I highly recommend this experience! Georgiana was highly informative and super friendly. Because the group was so small, we got so much out of it.
We especially enjoyed the local market experience, with so many delicious local tastings. Meeting the friendly faces behind the small Italian businesses at the market made the experience even more authentic and memorable.
Every stop was different and taught us something new about the Mediterranean cuisine, culture, and all with so much insight . We would definitely book this experience again! Grazi Georgiana

Intimate and authentic experience
This was hands down one of the best experiences we had in Civitavecchia. The small group made it feel so personal and special, and we loved how many different types of food we got to sample. Everything was fresh, delicious, and authentically local, and we left feeling like we really got a taste of the REAL ITALY. We learned so much about the food, the culture, and the area itself.

incredibly rewarding
I almost didn’t book this because I thought I’d explored enough on my own. I was wrong. This experience gave me access to places and stories I would never have found alone. Compared to wandering and guessing where to eat, and what to see ,this felt curated, purposeful, and incredibly rewarding.

Highlight of our mediterranean cruise
We’ve done a lot of cruise excursions, but this one stands out.
The focus is on flavor and preserving the local culture. We tried different cheeses, prosciutto, fresh fruit and a tiny tasting of giusti balsamic that completely redefined “vinegar” for us.
