I had a phenomenal experience with Michael and his curated tour in El Salvador in July, 2026. The tour was a fascinating look into the country’s culture, and went well above and beyond the “typical” tour experience. Michael is 100% fluent in both English and Spanish (he grew up in the USA, but has family roots in Salvador and has been living locally for over a year). His communication skills are flawless, and his understanding of the local culture is both informative, educational and comprehensive, while at the same time enjoyably fun! I have had the opportunity to have countless tour guides in many different countries outside of the USA, and I can candidly say that Michael’s touring experience was easily the best. He has a great personality and is someone that you would want to be friends with. As such, I highly recommend Michael’s tour without any reservations. Bravo, Michael 👍🏼

El Salvador was such an amazing experience. We saw beautiful views and created wonderful memories. We had the pleasure of connecting with Beyond the Botanas with Michael at the end of our trip. We were a little nervous since our party of 7 ranged in age from 8 to 63. Michael assured us that we would be able to accommodate everyone’s needs and wants. It was super comforting to know we would have a true bilingual guide with us on the trip. Michael went above and beyond with his dedication to serving everyone on our trip. We opted for a custom coastal itinerary after hearing about the different options available. But we honestly were left wanting more. We left knowing that we had to come back and coordinate with Michael again to explore more of what El Salvador has to offer.
