広島平和記念公園の中心で、ガイドが１９４５年８月６日の朝、世界初の原子爆弾が落ちた敷地内をゆっくりと案内します。 世界平和の象徴となったこの場所をゆったりと歩いていく、これがツアーの心の拠り所です。ユネスコ世界遺産の竜骨遺跡がそのまま残された原爆ドームの前に立ち、広島が解体ではなく保存を選んだ理由を聞くことができます。 そこからは原爆犠牲者慰霊碑、ドームを完璧に形作る緩やかなアーチ、その向こうにある永遠の平和の炎 ― ― 地球最後の核兵器がなくなるまで燃え続ける炎 ― ― 。ガイドが、原爆碑の裏にある人間的な物語を語ってくれます。 その日の朝までの街の日常や、その後の生存者（被爆者）が背負ったもの、教科書では語れないほど歴史を土地にしてしまう小さな個人的な詳細など。 で休止する。
