Unique experience. Impressive nature. Pleasant guide and good driver. The participants could receive a map/brochure of the route, the sailors' names, etc.
Beautiful but also very long tour; besides the beautiful mountains and lakes, it was interesting to see the life of the residents in the mountains.
Views were stunning, guides very helpful and friendly. Tour could be a little bit better organised, but I can definitely recommend it to others travelles
I booked the trip to get to the Proto-urban site of Sarazm, which we skipped. Other than that, it was a good trip. Lunch was good too.
I liked the experience a lot. Murod was super kind and was always attentive to helping us with everything. He explained the places we visited, the culture, and the history of Tajikistan very well to us, and he also did it in a very entertaining way. I traveled alone and at all times I felt very safe, which was important to me. In general everything was very good and I enjoyed the trip a lot, I hope more people are encouraged to enjoy and get to know this wonder, I totally recommend it!
Well-organized tour with hotel pick-up; passport control for entry into Tajikistan is slow. The guide, Farida, was waiting for us on the other side. The road to the lakes is rough and full of potholes, not suitable for those with back problems. Both the guide and the driver are very kind and helpful. We had lunch at the restaurant at the third lake, where there is also a restroom. The lakes are beautiful and worth the visit; allow about 14 hours from departure to return to the hotel.
We were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of Tajikistan lakes. The tour went smoothly and we learned a lot about the country, thanks to the local guide, Parvina. Shoutout to our driver in Uzbekistan, Dilshod who was always on time and was even waiting at the border with open arms to welcome us back. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!
She talks about her country with love and passion. This is Dilo, our tour guide. She did a formidable job guiding us through the 9 hour trip. Despite the rough and narrow roads, she made the trip go smoothly by making frequent stops to shows scenes of her beautiful country of Tajikistan. The scenery is breath-taking. The trip was bumpy due to narrow and unpaved road, but with Ali, our professional driver, he made it like a piece if cake. Dilo and Ali made the perfect team for this trip. We made several stops on the way up to the highest lake. At each stop we were greeted by the amazingly friendly villagers. During the drive, we had people wave at us with big welcoming smiles, and little children approached us to create conversations. They introduced themselves and asked about our names. They were happy to see tourists passing through their remote villages and wanted to practice their English. Yes, these little children speak perfect English and with good accent. If you make this trip make sure you meet Saida. She is around 7 years old and not shy to approach everyone. She introduced herself to us and asked about our names and home countries. Such an adorable super polite child. If u ask her to take photo with you she is not shy to take a good pause to capture her best side. We continued our way up to Lake 7 where we took some rest. Other groups were already there and people were sharing food and snacks with each other. Such amazing atmosphere of beauty, sharing, and caring, add to that breath-taking scenery, friendly and knowledgeable guide, and professional driver. It just couldn’t be more complete. Last but not least, it is the friendly people who normally complete any trip and make it memorable. Residents on the way up and down made our trip complete. Thank you Dilo and Ali for making our trip memory a treasure.
To highlight positively: the work of all the employees (guides -from our group and others- and drivers), their professionalism and above all their character and spirit, which creates a very good atmosphere. The route to the lakes is well organized and a day out of the city and in this environment is appreciated. The visit to the market and the lakes corresponds to the previous information. On the negative side: they contacted us the day before near 9:00 PM -it could have been done earlier- to finalize some aspects and confirm the pickup. The departure and entry procedures are very slow (it is not the agency's fault, of course), which makes the day extend more than twelve hours. The worst part -however- was that the contracted itinerary included the visit to Sarazm, and we did not do it (it seems that it did not appear on other people's itinerary in the group) nor were we told anything about it. A disappointment since we had chosen this specific excursion because it included it.
