A very detailed explanation about all the history of Serbia from the lasts hundred years, he did the tour in a very entertaining way, giving us a clear explanation, we did a nice walk through the bridge and into the new Belgrade. I would recommend him!

Aleksander is an extremely knowledgeable, passionate and entertaining tour guide. He was able to unpack the complex history of Serbia / former Yugoslavia, with the use of historical pictorial aids to give us a much clearer understanding of the plight of this country and its people. We saw many things that were off the beaten track on the ‘communist’ side of Belgrade. We would highly recommend this tour.

Aleks is a great tour guide who shows you things you'd never imagine to see, and tells you so many interesting facts. It helps you understand how Serbia is today and everything that happened in the past. This is a very informative tour crossing the bridge and learning a lot; definitely a tour for people with an interest in history, wars and the changing borders of Serbia and Yugoslavia. I would love to do another tour with Aleks sometime, as he is extremely passionate and knowledgeable. Reccomend 100%

Our guide Alexsandar was very good! Very knowledgable and passionate about the topic. We did see the site of the concentration camp and a mural to it but the “walking tour” aspect was enjoyable because we could chat as a group and with the leader. You don’t necessarily visit many places if that makes sense? Would still highly recommend

To know something in its current state is to understand its history. This holds true for Serbia and its capital city, Belgrade; a lively yet gritty town. After having done a little bit of research on the history of Serbia and the former Yugoslavia prior to traveling there, my boyfriend and I decided it would be neat to find an experience to fill in some of the gaps. And indeed, Aleksander did just that. He curated a very cool walking tour of places we would have never found ourselves to help inform attendees about major historical milestones that lead up to the creation of Yugoslavia, and ultimately its downfall. All of it told with the expertise and nuance of someone very passionate about the subject. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in history, politics, or seeking the unexpected.
