I don’t even know where to start. On the pickup/ride to the “catamaran” (actually a medium fishing boat) our driver was vaping, texting and speeding while driving. We boarded the boat under some bridge. There was NO COMMUNICATION of a timeline, when we’d take off, how long we’d be snorkeling, or when we’d return. Before leaving the dock we sat on the boat (with minimal shading) for about 45mins. As we finally left we had to stop to pick up oxygen tanks for a deep sea diving excursion that was also apparently happening on the boat. It took about 45mins-hr to reach the snorkeling location. We ended up staying for about 2hrs because the deep sea diving excursion took an extra 30mins to come back to the boat. We finally reached Catalina island which was horrible in my opinion. The water was clear but extremely rocky and had rope in the water as boundary line. The buffet was disgusting, dry and had FLIES ON EVERYTHING! !!NO UNLIMITED ALCOHOL!! Only premixed rum and coke, and rum and sprite. The nonalcoholic drinks were sprite , coke, coffee and water. They had a store bought cake as dessert. I was also bombarded every 15mins of this 3hr part of the excursion to buy a coconut ($12) or lobster (“small for $40”). The hr+ ride back was the WORST part of it all. The captain sped through the choppy water at full throttle. He crashed into multiple waves caused the whole front of the boat and all our items to be covered and thrown by water. Not to mention the captain was driving to rough when there were two young kids and an older lady sitting on the front of the boat and one wave caused the older lady to slip to the ground and she stayed there until we returned to the dock. None of the crew told the captain to slow down or truly tried to help, they just kept trying to boost morale as if people weren’t sea sick and holding on for dear life hoping the boat didn’t capsize.
