That morning, right as your tour began, the road to Piazzale Michelangelo was unexpectedly closed and the surrounding streets were blocked. The calls you heard on speaker were your driver talking with our office to find another way up. That was urgent, but we understand it took over your experience, and we're sorry for that. When no route opened, he changed the itinerary to keep the tour going. We're sorry he didn't explain it better or make your options clear. You should never have been left feeling there was no choice, or unsure about your money. If a tour can't run as planned, guests can always choose the alternative route, a new date, or a refund. Other groups that day had the same closure and enjoyed the alternative route, which is why we're especially sorry it didn't work out for you.
