We had a great experience! Jampy, our guide, was terrific -- his approach deftly combined clarity and safety with some light humor to help it be a highly fun activity. We also appreciated the clear communication in advance, both at the time of our booking (what we'd need to bring, etc) and the day-before reminder email with VERY helpful and clear guidance as to where we should go and what we'd find in the right place. This was a highlight of our 3+ week trip. We also greatly appreciated the included photos of our time in the water, which was included and made available to us almost right away.

6/29/2026 Viator was very poor at forwarding a critical cancelation notice. Per the tour company, this cancelation information was sent to Viator, the booking agent, on the day prior to my ticketed adventure. It was terribly disappointing to find out while waiting to be picked up at the bus stop with my snorkel gear and after-activity stuff. The snorkel company made every effort to provide an alternate day, but with this last minute cancelation notice directly from them, my schedule was set and I was not able to reschedule.

Just WOW. Snorkelling in the Silfra Fissure is one of those experiences that's almost impossible to describe. The water clarity is extraordinary, and drifting through the deep fissure feels like catching a glimpse of another world. A huge thank you to our wonderful guide, Laura, who made us feel safe and reassured every step of the way—and kept us laughing throughout. You do need to be a reasonably confident swimmer, but don't let that put you off. The dry suits are incredibly buoyant, so once you're in the water, just relax, trust the suit, and embrace the experience. It is absolutely worth it. Truly unique.

Nico was an amazing guide on the snorkeling tour! He made sure everyone was comfortable, safe, and fully set before we got in the water. He explained everything clearly and checked on everyone. 10/10 great time

Even with dry suits it is extremely cold. The Article Adventures team is very organized and help smooth out the process of gearing up. Out of their control as there are so many companies offering this tour at once, but we waited almost an hour to get into the water after gearing up. Our guide Flor was super nice and made the wait in the cold manageable. Insider tips…, when changing in the rain, try to stand on the dry bag to keep socks dry. It is great that they offer all guests a black dry bag… just Remember clearly where you put your dry bag as all are the same and you are freezing post your and want to change quickly as possible and not waste time looking for your bag amongst everyone’s identical black bag.

A fantastic experience and a great addition to any Iceland itinerary! My two friends and I had an amazing time snorkeling, and our guide, Jenny, made the experience even better. She ensured we were well-prepared, comfortable, and confident before entering the water. Her professionalism and friendly approach helped make the entire adventure enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Great experience, especially since I had never gone snorkeling before! It's magnificent; the concept of literally swimming between the two continental plates is very cool, and the water is so clear that you can see up to 100 meters! I still had to get used to a water temperature of 3°C. Certainly, the wetsuit offers excellent insulation, except for the hands and especially around the mouth, which becomes numb by the end. But it's worth it 100 times over; I totally recommend it, especially if you have the chance to meet Valentina, the guide. She explains things very well, she is very reassuring, and also super patient, a gem!
