Great Bali tour
Just got back from the Ubud Rice Terraces, Coffee, and Waterfall tour and it was easily one of the best half-days of our Bali trip. Our guide Kariasa made the whole experience. He is genuinely warm, knew the history and culture behind every stop, and had a great eye for the best photo spots without ever making it feel rushed or touristy.
The Tegalalang rice terraces were stunning early in the morning before the crowds hit, and Karissa timed everything perfectly. The coffee plantation stop was a fun surprise.I got to try civet coffee (kopi luwak) along with a whole spread of local teas and sample flavors, and she explained the whole process in a way that actually made it interesting, not just a sales pitch.
The purification temple was such a meaningful stop. Kariasa walked us through the customs and etiquette beforehand so we felt respectful and prepared, and explained the significance of the holy spring water and purification rituals rather than just letting us snap photos and move on.
The waterfall was the highlight for me cool, refreshing, and totally worth the short trek down. Kariasa was patient with photo requests and even helped set up a few shots for us.
If you’re looking for a tour that feels personal rather than like being herded through a checklist, ask for Karissa. Highly recommend.
