The trip to this place is just an hour’s drive by private car from Barcelona. Pleasant drive going up to Montserrat atop 1,700 feet. Guide was good driver and very knowledgeable about Montserrat. Since we were seniors with some issues walking uphill, the guide gave us options to get around the difficulty and still enjoyed the most important experience at Montserrat. Guide was friendly, helpful, respectful, and Professional. We had meaningful moments with the Black Madonna, spent time in the Church, had a break for a snack & a drink, took photos, and had time to buy souvenirs. Great experience!!!

One of the best tours we have ever been on. Montserrat is an incredible experience and one that was enhanced by the decision to use Alexandra’s private tour. Picked up and driven to Montserrat in an extremely comfortable and clean car with smooth driving, and excellent commentary and assistance the entire morning from Alexandra . The cable car ride up was breathtaking and arriving in Montserrat and learning the history on the town and the Black Madonna and walking to various stunning vantage points was fantastic. We would strongly recommend this tour. 10 out of 10.

Excellent day with Alexandra. Great communication leading up to our pick up. The area we stayed in was tricky to do a direct pick up so she arranged a clear pick up area including pictures. Very nice car and pleasant conversation to our destination. The tour was excellent and we loved dictating the pace. This is a beautiful area close to Barcelona and well worth the time. Would love to reconnect with Alexandra in the future and hire her again for any tours she handles. We will Be letting our travel agent know how excellent the tour company is and that she should recommend them to her clients. Thank you for an amazing and memorable day.

Sergei was a wonderful guide and a very nice person! He ensured that we saw everything, and he provided interesting stories as well as the history of the area so that we understood what we were seeing. The pre-tour communication was excellent, and we knew exactly where we needed to be to begin the tour. We had a great visit to Montserrat, and we highly recommend this tour!

We had an amazing time and informative tour to the monastery. Sergei and Oleksandra were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The drive was extremely comfortable and we could set our own pace for the tour. Never felt rushed. We were able to spend time in quiet prayer and the hike to the cross although challenging ended with one of the most gorgeous views we have seen. We were originally going to try to get there by public transport but I am so glad we opted for this tour. It took all the stress out of the trip and also cut travel time in half. I highly recommend a trip to the monastery and would go again with Sergei and Oleksandra.

This tour was excellent. Our driver picked us up at our hotel and the drive to the mountains was spectacular. It was great to get out of the city and experience a changing landscape. We were able to go right to the main attractions once we arrived, the basilica and black Madonna and was surprised to see that Gaudi also designed one of the chapels. Then we hiked to the cross and the view was breathtaking. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us an extensive history lesson on the area, the Templar Knights, and Montserrat. We highly recommend this tour, especially since it was about 4-ish hours so you are still able to spend your afternoon and night in Barcelona.

What an amazing trip to Montserrat and hike to Saint Michael’s Cross and most especially seeing and praying before the Black Madonna! This was a beautiful faith filled day for my husband and it felt like a mini pilgrimage! Serhii and Oleksandra were wonderful, gracious, kind hosts! I would highly recommend!

We had the most amazing time with Sergei! It was like being with a friend. He was very knowledgeable about the church and Montserrat in general. So beautiful! We also enjoyed it being a small tour. I highly recommend him!

It is a must see. Definitely take the cable car up and also do the walk up to St Michael’s cross. Views are spectacular. Title of trip a bit misleading. The photo of nice van is actually a Hyundai SUV. Tour guide had 8 year old son with us no advance warning. The “tasting” is actual market open to all w/tents where vendors sell cheese. Everyone gets free tasting samples.
