This was a great experience for our anniversary dinner. We made postcards and orchid bracelets before the show, open bar, great food. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because once the show started, the buffet was never replenished. Its supposed to be all you can eat. Also, photos/videos were not allowed during the show. Umm I paid good money for this, I'd like to snap a few photos for my memory book.
Food was good but not the best I have had.
The luau show was good and the food was very good. It rained on us which really dampened the mood of the crowd, making it tougher for the entertainment to get people excited and involved. Yes, it is clear they advertise "rain or shine" but for as much as people pay to attend this show, I cannot understand why this hotel venue doesn't have a better back-up plan than a dollar store clear plastic poncho. The price per person for general admission was rather expensive, and add another $30 per ticket for the option to cancel if you cannot attend before the deadline.
The spread was great. The food was delicious, and the entertainment was top tier. We did a few luaus around the island and this one was the best one.
This is not the cultural experience I was hoping for. This was an express version. I highly recommend finding a traditional vs. resort style. Very disappointed.
Great drinks, good food, fire show was amazing. Instructions said parking was $10 per car but actually cost $40
It rained ealrier in the day so the event was moved indoors. It was horrible and very disorganized. A lot of money for what seemed like a lunch during a co conference inside a hotel co ference room. The best part was the fire dancer that was outside under the portal. Should have been cancelled entirely instead of being moved inside.
Unfortunately it rained so we were notified at 11:07 am that it was being moved to inside a building. It was too late for us to cancel since it has to be 24 hrs prior. It was not the same thing. I booked it mostly for the experience of being outside. The performance was good but the meats most of them were extremely dry/overcooked with very bland flavors. I am sure that is due to tayloring to so many pallets. So that takes out the claim of being authentic. We splurged on a private table not worth it just sit in regular seats. You will not miss the show.
Food was mostly cold. A luau is supposed to be a pitted pig and should have only served pork, delivered from the pit to the serving tables. Part of the ceremony! but the history of the show and the show itself was great!
Overall it was a good experience. However, your website should not state all you care to eat considering you dont give guest enough time to even get more food. My group was the very last table to go up and by the time we got through and sat down you started cleaning up. My group had people who wanted more food and drinks and couldn't get it. The price is a little high for an experience where you actually dont get to eat all you want. The dancing and fire dancing was great. It was also neat to make the Leia wristlet but wish they were necklaces instead of wristlet.
