Very interesting cultural experience. Enjoyed learning about it and experiencing the ritual.
I specifically booked this show for my Italian husband and 21-year-old son to give them an insight into the richness and diversity of Islamic culture in Turkiye, even though it is a secular country. They both absolutely loved it! We found the 20-minute English explanations incredibly interesting and enlightening. The 40-minute Whirling Dervish performance (well, they cannot whirl for hours!) was a truly unique experience that they will never forget. Highly recommended if you are interesting in spiritual culture and religion.
Definitely check this out as part of your introduction to Turkey.

In the middle of the bustling city, you arrive at a place full of peace. The dance was breathtaking. You could see in the dancers that it is more than just a dance. A connection with God. I would recommend everyone experience this. It was not entertainment, but a ritual full of history and connection with God.
I really enjoyed watching the ceremony; the experience was immersive and meditative.

Loved the experience. The place is very authentic, you can feel the calm that is all around. My only comment would be that maybe it's not a performance suitable for children, there were two in the audience and it was very distracting as they kept "being kids" in a ceremony that is very calm and rigorous.
