Not happy with the tour. The Lindt chocolate tour was just okay.
It did not follow the itinerary that was posted. We were supposed to start at 12:15, the day before they changed it to 1:30. The guide was not there on time and what she had on her itinerary, was not what we were expecting. We were expecting a 30 minute boat cruise, the Lindt Chocolate tour, a guided tour of a medieval village and a one hour tour of Zurich. We took a bus for the chocolate tour, she had never been there, we were on a train when we found out it was going to be two hour boat tour, only 30 minutes at the village, and no tour of Zurich. Because of the late start time and two hour boat ride, we realized that we would not get back to Zurich in time for our dinner reservations. We got off the train at the next stop and took a taxi back to our hotel. Seemed very disorganized and not what we had as the itinerary posted on Viator.

We are sorry the experience did not meet your expectations. However, the itinerary was adapted due to unusually low lake levels and the resulting changes to the boat schedule. We actually provided a better itinerary: the chocolate factory, medieval village exploration, and a fantastic 2-hour lake cruise instead of the 30-minute cruise originally advertised. A Zurich city tour is not part of this tour’s advertised itinerary, so we cannot agree that this was omitted. The tour is also clearly described as lasting approximately 5–6 hours. As the start time was adjusted, the finishing time necessarily changed as well, and dinner plans needed to be arranged accordingly. We understand that the changes were inconvenient, but they were made due to circumstances affecting the lake schedule, and we provided a better itinerary than the one originally advertised.

Our guide, Ben, was excellent as far as his knowledge and commentary goes. Our only criticism is that he went a bit too fast for all of the group. However we would definitely recommend him to others.

Fabulous tour! Recommend it :) Jhon was the best guide ever
I really enjoyed this walking tour in Zurich! The route was interesting, and I learned a lot about the city’s history and local culture. Our guide was very friendly and patient, taking the time to answer all our questions and making everyone feel comfortable. A great way to discover Zurich — highly recommended!
