I had a great time at KOKORO SHINSAIBASHI with Saeko! She taught me about history of Osaka, meditation and Japanese calligraphy in an express course! If you don't have much time in Osaka but want to make your own souvenir in a temple that's the place! ✨💯💖

Copying sutra in a Zen temple in Osaka
A relaxing experience of meditation, calligraphy and while drinking tea inside a Buddhist temple. The room was air-conditioned, so you can stay cool during the summer heat. The staff was so attentive, friendly and can speak English very well. It will be a great memory for travelers who want to experience the quiet side of the bustling city of Osaka.

I found a calming place from the busy streets and really enjoyed this calming calligraphy experience in a peaceful room. The instructor is kind, patient and she gave gentle guidance on how to do the brush movements carefully. I loved it really and you can also take home the beautiful piece you created. I highly recommended it for your tour experience.

One of the Highlights of My Trip to Japan
I joined this experience while accompanying a friend, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip to Japan.
The instructor carefully explained the fundamentals of Japanese calligraphy, including the proper techniques and traditional etiquette. We started with practice exercises, which made it easy even for beginners to feel comfortable and improve step by step. By the time I completed my final piece, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it turned out.
One of the best parts was being able to create a finished work on a decorative board and take it home as a keepsake. It felt much more meaningful than buying a typical souvenir, as it was something I had made myself while experiencing an important aspect of Japanese culture.
I would highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting Japan who is interested in traditional culture and wants to create a unique and memorable souvenir from their trip.
