Shane was an incredible tour guide! Not only was the food amazing, but Shane cares passionately about the history of the food and city. I asked him if he had ever been a history teacher because of how well spoken and passionate he is about both. I definitely recommend taking this tour and requesting Shane specifically! We went to four stops and 3/4 had wine or another cocktail. Definitely worth the time and money to see hidden gems around the city.

We took this food tour this week and it was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. If you get Shane as your guide, you are in for a great time. Shane knows the local food scene inside and out. He didn’t just hand us a plate and list the ingredients; he explained the actual history behind the neighborhoods and how the regional cuisine evolved over the years. I learned more about the culture in a three-hour walk with him than I did reading up before the trip. What really made the afternoon stand out was just how much Shane genuinely loves what he does. You can tell he has a real connection to the local vendors and restaurant owners—everyone smiled when we walked in the door. He lights up when talking about the background of his favorite spots, and his enthusiasm is completely contagious. The food was fantastic and the portions were generous, but Shane is the reason we'll be telling anyone visiting the area to book this specific tour. Highly recommend.
