A guide whose English wasn't strong enough to deliver cultural context, and 40 minutes spent searching for seating — together, these undermined exactly what you paid us to provide. You're right that under those circumstances, the tour offered little beyond what you could have done yourselves. On the yatai scene, one small clarification: many stalls do open around 6:00 PM, which is why we set the meeting time then. However, the early evening is also when popular stalls fill up fastest, and finding seating for a group can take time. That said, this is something a skilled guide should navigate smoothly — with cultural storytelling along the way turning the walk itself into part of the experience. We fell short of that standard, and that's on us. We're making concrete changes: strengthening English-language and cultural training requirements for guides on this product, building relationships with specific stalls to improve seating flow, and setting clearer expectations for guests at booking about how the yatai scene actually works.
