We had a wonderful experience on our Basilica tour with Tourkis! Our guide, Silvia, was absolutely excellent. She was incredibly informative, knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job bringing the history and significance of the Basilica to life. She was friendly, engaging, and made the entire tour enjoyable from beginning to end. We learned so much and truly appreciated her expertise. We highly recommend Tourkis and especially Silvia as a guide!
My husband and I did a tour earlier of the Vatican Museums & Sistene Chspel and free roaming of Basillica and grounds but didnt have details about Saint Peter's art work, grotto and dome climb. I am so glad we did 2 separate tours to almost get everything. We didnt wait too long in line to check our bags about 15min in hot sun even on Sept 25. Bring Umbrella and Fans! Dome climb was easier than Florence! You can use elevator to go up to inner dome but it was too long of a wait, so we took stairs. I am 56 my husband 62. We had to go up further which was tighter stairs and more spiral feel at about 4pm it was packed but glad I did it to go outside on top of Dome. Going down was super easy but we had a treat before going all the way down.
My husband and I had an amazing experience on our St. Peter’s Basilica and Dome Climb tour on Monday, September 21st. St. Peter’s Basilica was absolutely breathtaking. The size, beauty, artwork, and incredible amount of detail inside were unlike anything we had ever seen before. Our tour guide Daniel did a fantastic job. He was extremely knowledgeable, easy to understand, and explained things in a way that made the history interesting and memorable. He shared so many little details and nuances that both my husband and I left wanting to learn even more about the Basilica, the church, and the history of Rome. We also really appreciated that it was a small group. It made the experience feel much more personal, and we always felt comfortable asking questions and interacting with Daniel throughout the tour. The Dome climb was definitely an adventure and a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us. The climb itself was challenging, but absolutely worth it. Being able to see the rooftop and then continue all the way to the top of the dome was incredible. Once we reached the top, the views were breathtaking. St. Peter’s Basilica was truly one of the most impressive places we visited during our time in Rome. Between the beauty of the Basilica, Daniel’s excellent guidance, and the unforgettable Dome climb, this was a fantastic experience from beginning to end.

We had a wonderful and memorable experience touring St. Peter’s Basilica, the Dome, and the Grottoes. This was truly one of the highlights of our time in Rome! Our tour guide, Silvia, was outstanding. She was extremely knowledgeable, informative, professional, and engaging throughout the entire tour. Silvia did an excellent job explaining the history, architecture, artwork, and religious significance of St. Peter’s Basilica in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely fascinating. Her passion for the history and significance of the site really came through, and she made the experience much more meaningful than simply walking through the basilica on our own.

I enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very nice and knew a lot! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is there was a lot of waiting around during this tour. Our guide had to check in at the front of St Peter’s basilica - she said it was for the headsets. Then, we had to wait about 20 min to get tickets to for the dome climb. I understand St Peter’s Basilica is a busy place but I think this info should be clearly stated on the description for the tour as I wasn’t expecting these pauses in our tour. Overall, I did really enjoy the tour and our guide was fantastic!
