I loved the tuk-tuk we had for the tour, and our guide, Akila, was fantastic. He took us to amazing places around Kandy, including some hidden spots. The tour is all-inclusive, so you don’t have to worry about paying at each stop unless you choose to visit additional places outside the program. I would definitely recommend this tour!
The tour is highly recommended for anyone who wants to see Kandy in one day. We visited all the highlights of Kandy, including the Big Buddha statue, the Temple of the Tooth, the botanical garden, Ambuluwawa Tower, the Kandy cultural show, and spent time walking through the market and buying some items. The tuk-tuk was great, and Akila’s driving skills were excellent, especially in the traffic. Lunch was included in our tour, and we had a buffet with lots of options, which was wonderful. Kandy city is beautiful, clean, and has great significance due to the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Akila was kind enough to help us secure a ticket from Ambewela to Ella for our ongoing journey. If you are in Kandy and want to do a day tour, definitely check out Kandy by Tuk-Tuk. They are reliable and trustworthy, delivering what they promise. Ask for Akila as your guide. you won’t be disappointed.
What a wonderful way to experience the sights of Kandy. The guides were lovely, friendly, helpful, and very informative. They answered all our questions and shared so much insight about the sights and the culture of the city. The lunch was great, and water bottles were available throughout the tour. What makes this tour really special is that you’re not just traveling with a driver. you’re with a knowledgeable guide who calls Kandy home, so they truly know everything about the place. Our guide, Akila, was kind enough to take us to see the royal tuskers, which was an amazing experience. The tour is all-inclusive, so there’s nothing to worry about. you can just relax and enjoy the experience. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing driver named Janaka, who drove a beautiful red tuk-tuk on our tour. All the places listed in the tour were covered, and we also asked to add a visit to the Ambuluwawa Tower. Janaka was flexible enough to accommodate our request, even though adjusting the schedule was a bit challenging, especially with the morning traffic in Kandy. Despite this, we were able to see everything we wanted in Kandy. We also had some time for shopping, thanks to Janaka's great recommendations, and we were very happy with our purchases. The lunch buffet at the Oak Ray Restaurant was fantastic. The location is perfect, right by Sri Lanka's longest river, the Mahaweli, making it a great spot to relax in the middle of the tour. If you want to explore Kandy by tuk-tuk, we highly recommend requesting Janaka – you won’t be disappointed!

We decided to take the Kandy City Tour by tuk tuk, as it’s a popular and fun way to explore the city. We love this mode of transportation, having enjoyed similar tours in Thailand, India, and Cambodia. Before arriving in Kandy, we also did a tuk tuk city tour in Colombo, which was fantastic. In Kandy, we had a bright red tuk tuk (a common sight in Sri Lanka) for our adventure. Our driver, Asanka, was wonderful. He took us to all the major attractions, including temples, a tea factory, the botanical gardens, and more. Asanka was incredibly helpful in arranging our train tickets to Ella, which was especially appreciated. As an older couple in our 60s, we often feel vulnerable to overcharging, so having someone we could trust made a big difference. It’s a great way to explore this beautiful but busy city, and we had so much fun. The tour started with a stop at a viewpoint where we got an incredible view of the entire city. After that, we visited the Royal Botanical Gardens and spent about an hour walking around, taking pictures of the flowers. Then we went to a tea factory and learned all about the tea-making process, which was really interesting. We also visited a Gem and Jewelry Museum and a wood-carving factory, all of which were free to enter. Another highlight was the Kandy Cultural Show, which featured traditional dance, fire walking, and even some fire-eating segments that were really great. We also stopped by the famous large white Buddha statue and visited the Temple of the Tooth during a special ceremony. The atmosphere was amazing, with drummers and trumpets adding to the experience. For lunch, we had a delicious buffet at a fancy restaurant by the Mahaweli River, which was the perfect spot to relax after a busy morning. Our driver, Asanka, was fantastic. He was so kind, made sure we were comfortable and even helped take some great photos for us. He also had water bottles in the tuk-tuk, which was a lifesaver after being out in the heat all day. Overall, we had an incredible time in Kandy and really enjoyed the tour. If you’re a couple looking for a fun and easy way to explore the city with a friendly local guide, we highly recommend Kandy by TukTuk. Thanks for an unforgettable experience!
