ティヴォリのハドリアヌス帝の別荘は、西暦 118 年から 138 年の間にローマ皇帝ハドリアヌスによって建てられた堂々とした皇帝の住居です。C.、ローマから約 30 km のティヴォリ近くに位置しています。 約 120 ヘクタールに及ぶ、古代ローマの最大かつ最も洗練された建築群のひとつです。 この別荘はローマ建築の要素とギリシャおよびエジプトの影響が融合しており、皇帝の旅行と折衷的な趣味を反映しています。 内部には宮殿、寺院、劇場、浴場、ニンファエウム、庭園、噴水があります。 最も有名な建造物としては、エジプトにインスピレーションを得た長い水域のカノープスと、運河に囲まれた人工島の海洋劇場があります。 1999年以来、その歴史的、芸術的、建築的重要性によりユネスコの世界遺産に登録されています。

We could not have had a better experience exploring Villa Adriana and the Villa d’Este. Our guide Dina was both extremely knowledgeable and most accommodating and a pleasure to talk with. We learned so much about Roman architecture, Emperor Hadrian , the building of Cardinal d’ Este’s villa and gardens and the relationship between the two properties - with a little bit about Mussolini too. My husband is still recovering from some ankle surgery and Dina made sure the routes and distances walked were reasonable and not to much. This was a great day. Thank you for making a special memory. Shout out to our driver Dino, too.
I am very happy that we cancelled our initial booking with another company and booked with Mamma Mia Italia to see Hadrian’s Villa and Villa d’Est. Communication was very easy prior to the visit. They picked us up from our apartment, the car was clean and very comfortable, with a thoughtful bottle of water each. The trip was safe and very smooth. Thanks Walter. We had a tour assistant Deanna, who stayed with us for the whole trip and gave us background on Rome. Caterina, the local guide, was excellent. Very informative and insightful. Her English was excellent. The tour took approximately 6 hours and was definitely value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending the tour and Mamma Mia Italia.
