With mother and daughter, we were the only ones in this cooking class and really enjoyed the "private lesson." There were delicious recipes, understandable and professional instruction, and very tasty food. The recipes were also provided later. Even though the course was a bit more expensive than with other providers, it is highly recommended.
Excellent service good service
Somewhat hidden and not directly accessible by tuk-tuk, you reach a small hut after a short climb. There, mother and daughter awaited us, who introduced us to the culinary arts of Sri Lankan cuisine in an easy-to-understand and very pleasant way. We cooked several curries, the ingredients were explained, and at the end, we ate together. The recipes were provided afterward via WhatsApp. The cooking class gave us a wonderful insight into and understanding of the variety and effort involved in preparing local dishes.

Such a great family run cooking class. We learned about traditional cooking skills and got to make multiple curries which we then enjoyed with a gorgeous sunset view of the mountains! Definitely recommend if you’re in Ella!

Thoroughly enjoyed the cooking experience, however, getting there was a bit challenging, with an uphill climb, uneven steps and no rail to hold on to
Wonderful experience this cooking class. The kitchen faces a tea plantation, on the same path as Little Adam’s Peak. Nice to combine. Mother and daughter are super sweet people who master the art of making a nice curry. Highly recommended!
