The tour guide never showed up. He texted me an hour later and said he was in an accident but his friend could pick me up later and take me on the tour "with a small change". I pressed him on that and he admitted that it was a completely different tour. Worst case scenario, this was a complete scam. Best case scenario, the guide truly did his best to make it and couldn't. Even if the later is true, I don't know if I would risk an entire day of your vacation by booking a tour that may not come to fruition. I looked at his reviews for another tour and it would appear I am not the first person to experience this. In reality, I think it was probably somewhere in the middle. I don't think this is a total scam, but there was contradictory communication with the guide while trying to resolve this that lead me to believe I was not receiving the full truth. The most likely scenario I can think of is I was the only person who booked the tour (I'm a solo traveler) and he decided it was not worth running the tour for one person, so he tried bumping me over to a tour where others had already signed up. It should be noted that he did immediately give me a refund upon request, although that doesn't make up for a lost day since I was unable to find another tour by the time he let me know it was cancelled.

Johnathan was a good driver taking me to the dunes sandboarding, feeding Iguanas and to the beach near the salt laguna. Then i had great fish dish and always enough drinking water. Thank you

Jonathan was amazing! Felt like we were with friends/family. Every thing was so thought out and we definitely got to experience things that not even locals have seen. Highly recommend.

Very good tour, we were able to slide on the sand dunes, you have to go prepared to get covered in sand everywhere. Afterward, the snorkeling at Derrumbao beach was also great, you have to go prepared with clothes and shoes that can get wet. Delicious food and a very good guide

My friend and I had a great time with Jonathon our tour guide he was very nice and took great care of us on my birthday. He was informational of our stops and we learned a lot about the country.

Jonathan was such an amazing guide! He was able to pick me up from my hostel, he cared for us all day with water, snacks, and food. Took us to some really cool spots with some surprises along the way which I enjoyed a lot lol it was honestly one of the best tour experiences I’ve had! Truly and amazing person 😊

Jonathan Tineo @djtineo was a great tour guide. He is knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and is very cool! He recommends well and gives you time to enjoy the activities. He was also our photographer and shared the pictures with us. At the end of the excursion, he dropped us back off at our Airbnb which was very nice.

Had a fantastic experience-easily the best part of my trip to the Dominican Republic overall. Jonathan did a great job as a guide and host and his passion for showing parts of the country not well explored by tourists was admirable. If you ever need a break from the hustle and bustle of Santo Domingo, please consider this tour-the natural beauty of the Bani area can't be overstated.

Beautiful sights and lots of photo opportunities. We were the only people present in many of the areas we visited, offering a peaceful and enjoyable experience!
