We originally booked to paddle in a waka but the Wellington weather had other ideas. We swapped to the Hidden Moari Treasures tour. We experienced a traditional Moari welcome, learned more about the waka and went to a local archeological site where we learned of the Moari history in Wellington. Our guides were passionate and knowledgable. A great experience.
I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Wellington with a moderate level of physical fitness. It offers a unique opportunity to ride in a traditional waka and gain a deeper appreciation of Māori culture through an authentic and immersive cultural experience. Yes, the environment and weather was a total blissful. Not to forget the lovely and very welcoming team. Kudos to them.
He mihi nui ki a koe for sharing your experience with us. We’re grateful for your feedback and are delighted to hear you enjoyed your time with us. Your support is genuinely appreciated.
How exciting to hear about the stories from Maori mythology as told by the young guides from this centre. To witness tradition and be welcomed to participate in ceremony was an honour. These fearless young Kiwi's are proud of their heritage. We had a great time. Thank you. If you have an interest in the Mouri journey and story telling you will enjoy this tour.
Tēnā rawa atu koe for your wonderful feedback. We’re pleased to hear you had a great experience.
