I had an amazing experience with our guide, Murat! His passion for the local cuisine and culture really made this tour special. He explained every dish, how it is traditionally served, and the proper way to enjoy it, making the experience so much more authentic. His knowledge of the region's and Turkey's history was exceptional, and he shared it in such an engaging and informative way. I left with a much deeper appreciation for both the food and the history. Hats off to Murat for making this such a memorable experience. Highly recommended! 😁
Our guide was super friendly. Great option to try out several different local foods. Not too much walking. Asia side of Istanbul worth the visit. A bit more story and history telling would be good. Food is not included. . Felt a little rushed.
A highlight of our visit to Istanbul. Our guide Murat was very friendly and knowledgeable and shared a lot of insights about food and culture in Istanbul. We got to try many foods that maybe we might not have tried had it not been for the tour. We enjoyed especially the gozleme, fish sandwich, rice stuffed mussels and a desert I can’t remember the name of (katmer?). The tour was well paced and the pay as you eat made it a bit more economical. There is an option to skip certain dishes, but we tried them all and they were all very delicious. We also were in a nice group of eight people which made for a very enjoyable experience for our family of three. Highly recommended!
We were docked in Istanbul for one full day from our cruise and wanted to do something memorable. Murat met us close to the port, kept things on time so we made it back to the ship without stress, and packed so much into 3.5 hours. The ferry to Kadıköy was a nice break for our feet and we ate things we never would have tried on our own. Best food day of the entire cruise honestly.

Couldn’t recommend this tour more! Our guide Anil was so friendly, knowledgeable and answered so many questions for us. We loved trying so many different Turkish foods, and hearing all the history and background to each dish. I loved having the option to opt in or out of spots, and Anil was very flexible based on what we wanted to try. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone visiting Istanbul, great way to see the city + try all the incredible food!

We spent a relaxed & enjoyable evening, lead by Ali in Karakoy & Karakoy on our food tour. Ali paced it well, firstly in Karakoy in a quiet area with traditional meals prepared. The fish roll very tasty. We found a busier & lively vibe in Karikoy with many bars, hotels & lots of people spending time together in the early evening. The food was enjoyed as Ali shared some of the traditions of the foods selected & the group enjoyed the dessert, Turkish coffee & tea to end the evening. Pricing was accurate for quality food!
