Emma was an incredible tour guide! She was personable, timely, courteous, knowledgeable, and genuinely took each of us and our individual needs into consideration throughout the entire day. Her advice regarding the different entrance options for the Southern Great Wall was especially helpful. She carefully explained what each option involved, including the additional 200–300 steps after the Warrior/Hero’s Slope to reach the top, which allowed us to make an informed decision about the route that was right for us. Our entire day was planned perfectly. After coming down from the Great Wall in the heat, Emma even treated us to ice cream before lunch so we could cool down — such a thoughtful and very welcome surprise! Lunch itself was absolutely amazing. The entire tour was an incredible experience for all three of us. On a personal level, I have difficulty walking, and climbing the Great Wall was a significant challenge for me. With Emma’s guidance, patience, and encouragement, I made it! That is an experience I will never forget. All three of us would wholeheartedly recommend Emma. Her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and ability to make the day enjoyable for each of us made this an unforgettable experience in China. We could not have asked for a better guide!

Having a personal tour was a wonderful way to see the Southern Great Wall, a bucket list opportunity that was enhanced by our enthusiastic, knowledgeable and efficient guide Emma who was able to navigate her way around in a way we would have been unable to do ourselves. Our transportation was punctual and a very high standard. Highly recommended!

Southern Great Wall was a great alternative to the 'northern' Great Wall since we were staying in Shanghai. Our tour guide Jordan prepared the itinerary nicely for us, and made sure of proper transportation. He provided the unique history behind the Southern GW as we walked, then led us through the streets of the local town of Linhai with small shops and markets, before a nice lunch at a tucked away restaurant. We completed the tour through East Lake, which was near the head of the SGW. We enjoyed the experience from beginning to end!

We had a fantastic experience on our Southern Great Wall tour from pickup to drop-off! The luxury van accommodations were very comfortable, and the train rides were easy and well organized, although it is a long day of travel. Our guide, Summer, was wonderful. She was extremely accommodating, kind, smart, and very knowledgeable about the history of the area. She shared a lot of interesting information throughout the day and made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. The Southern Great Wall and the old town were even more impressive than we expected and absolutely worth the trip. If you have a full day available and want to experience something unique, we highly recommend this tour. Great guide, great scenery, and a great trip overall

EMMA was great she is amazing and very knowledgeable. Very hard working and worked around our schedule. A massive plus for us was that she connected with our children very easily and child friendly. My daughter and son were very comfortable with her. Emma answered all of our questions about the wall, city, and past. This is a must do experience and would recommend booking and requesting emma. The vehicles used were great and luxurious with lots of water too.

It’s a long day but first class experience. The guide was super accommodating. I was here for business and booked this on my one free day. Nice to get out of the city and see more sights.

Our guide Gerry was excellent very organised and even when transport changes had to be made it was seemless. Excellent knowledge and so friendly and kind. We really enjoyed the whole day and it was well worth it.

The trip was brilliant and well rounded. Emma was a wonderful guide. The food chosen for lunch was delicious, it was great to have various options for the walk, lovely sights and interesting history and information provided. I would absolutely recommend, it was a well organised and smooth day.
