This was really fun tour and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about taking it. It was totally worth the money because you are taken around to three separate cities and it’s an all day eight hour tour. I went with my husband and I would recommend that you take Dramamine or motion sickness medication with you for the ride back if you ever get carsick and go easy on the wine tasting during the day because the curvy roads may make you sick. that aside however, the views from the van were beautiful. the van was clean. The guide Kiko was amazing and told us so much history and he was so kind. We loved visiting the winery and we really loved visiting the artisan at the shop in Volterra. We even bought a few items from him that we will treasure. We loved all three cities. They were very interesting and we had plenty of time in all three. I would highly recommend this tour. We also took the other tour to Pienza and Montepulciano. and we preferred the tour to Voltera/ San Gim. over the other one. That tour was fine. It just wasn’t as interesting.

Our guide was outstanding. I am usually not very lavish with praise. This fellow did an excellent job. Very glad we booked the adventure.

Wonderful experience. The private farm lunch was fantastic. Carmela was a gracious hostess. The alabaster craftsman Omera was a joy to meet and his work was top notch. Giovanni was a very knowledgeable guide. One of the best tours we’ve ever taken!

We were staying at a villa in Siena and didn't rent a car, so we booked this excursion so we could see the countryside. Georgia was our guide and was right on time at the meetup point. There were four of us that fit comfortably in the air-conditioned van. We had a nice drive to Monteriggioni for a quick stop and then off to San Gimignano for exploring/shopping. Don't forget to get a gelato at Gelateria Dondoli. Next stop was a farm where the owner prepared a delicious meal for us and gave us a demonstration on how saffron is produced/harvested. Next stop was at the workshop of an alabaster artisan - make sure you have euros with you. Finally, we were dropped off at Volterra for sightseeing/shopping. Georgia was personable, easy to understand and extremely knowledgeable. We learned so much about italian culture, olive oil production, the history of the Tuscany region and the tradition of the Palio di Siena. She has a great sense of humor and basically "guilted" us into making sure we made time to see the Palio preparations. Well Georgia, if you read this, we did indeed make time Sunday morning to see the final trial run. We were so glad we followed her suggestion. This excursion was well worth booking if you are staying in Siena, and if you get Georgia as the guide, it's an extra bonus.

This is a fantastic tour of San Gimignano, Volterra, Monteriggioni, and the Tuscan countryside along the way. The meet-up point in Siena was convenient, and we easily found our group. Lunch at the agrotourismo near San Gimignano was excellent. Our guide was amazing - engaging, knowledgeable, and eager to answer questions. We especially appreciated that the guide spent the drives telling us about the next stop, and then let us explore each place on our own. If I could change one thing, it would be to add additional time in Volterra, which is an especially beautiful place. I strongly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the smaller Tuscan hill towns outside Siena.

Ceco was an amazing guide for the day. The right amount of interesting history and facts delivered with passion and interest, balanced with sufficient time for self-exploration. Comfortable and safe vehicle to travel in. Small group made this souch more enjoyable and accessible. The lunch at Carmela's property was superb and just added to an already great day. Highly recommend Tuscan Escapes for the care they take and the passion they have for the Tuscan region (as evidenced by the high quality of their guides).

This was a fabulous experience. We particularly enjoyed the lunch at the Tuscan farm. Georgia, our tour guide, was lovely and hugely informative. We would highly recommend the tour.

We had a lovely day trip to San Gimiano and Voltera. Our guide was called Georgia and she made the day very interesting from start to finish. Her English was excellent. She began quickly by giving us explanations of the local area the towns and where we will be visiting. This made the whole thing easy to understand and made it a great day. We were dropped off at places that made walking into the places we were visiting very easy. She gave good suggestions on what to see and do. We had a lovely lunch at a winery. We were not rushed anywhere and even got back overtime without any issues. Really good.

This tour was the highlight of my trip! Our guide, Guglielmo / William was very knowledgeable, courteous and gave us plenty of time to explore San Gimignano and Volterra. My favourite parts of the day were actually the side trips. At the artisanal farmlandfwe had an incredibly delicious lunch.. I also loved meeting and watching the alabaster craftman work. He is truly gifted and I will treasure two of his pieces I am taking home. I had such a wonderful day that I could not stop smiling.
