The self-guided bike tour to Lake Garda is wonderful! I’m SO happy I included this in my Verona trip, and Itinera did a very good job building the tour. The route west to Garda is lovely, but the route back to Verona is absolutely gorgeous. Mount your phone onto the handle, and they also supplied me with a front bag to hold my external charger (since this does drain some phone battery), as well as back bag (water bottle, book, hat, sunglasses, flip flops, etc.). The location-based instructions are accurate and intuitive, allow for breaks/views, and will even warn you if you deviate from the route. You do need some physical stamina and awareness for this, but you do NOT need to be a professional rider. It’s just so nice when you’re riding in the rural areas. A three-course lunch is included at Bardolino and can be very fresh; I chose a caprese salad, spicy arrabiata, and fruit for dessert, and the pasta was delicious and the produce before & after so fresh. Highly highly highly recommend. Would definitely consider another Itinera tour on a future visit.
