An interesting and adventurous venue within The Grove. Very exciting for foodies, a huge variety and diversity of shops and eateries at all price ranges. Fresh, preserved and organic products from po m meat to fresh veggies. As a foodie and chef, I loved it brought a variety of choice steak cuts, venison & ostrich Jerkys, homemade empanadas and dried okra chips. Pricing varied dramatically depending upon items. I had a ball like a kid in a candy store. Was there early as soon as they opened so I was able to choose the freshest of everything. Very conviniently located at the entrance to The Grove, an upscale shopping mall that I didn't enjoy nearly as much as I loved the Farmers Market!

This is a fantastic tour! I had been to the Los Angeles Farmers Market before--but I got so much more out of my experience by going with Melting Pot Food Tours. There is a lot of history at the Farmers Market and our guide Andrew was amazing and so knowledgeable. The food we sampled was varied and all delicious. Highly recommend this for either local Angeleno's or out of town guests.

Fun place ... lots of unique local food booths and then right next to a very upscale shopping area (The Grove) ...

So many fabulous samples, so may endearing stories -- this was a wonderful food tour with our enthusiastic guide Barbara. The Farmer's Market is a diverse, interesting, clean, charming place and Barbara took us to each stall to introduce us to the proprietors and tell us their unique stories. Every food sample was incredibly good. It would be hard to find a food tour better than this!

My wife and I travelled to Los Angeles from Australia and booked Melting Pot’s Farmer’s Market Food Walking Tour. We had been to these markets before and really wanted to find out about their history and more about the current stallholders. This tour is one of the best that we have ever taken. We were greeted by Diana, one of the two sisters who founded this Tour company and straight away she made us feel like part of her family. You can tell that the stallholders at the market have a lot of respect for Melting Pot Tours and Diana, her sister Lisa and their staff have the same level of respect for these business owners. The tour itself is fantastic, you get to try some very unique and memorable dishes (the donuts are out of this world!). The history and interesting facts that you learn along the tour are great. We can’t thank Diana enough and also can’t recommend this tour enough, if you are in L.A definitey book this one!!

It was a great decision to join this tour to check out the farmers market for the first time. Kevin’s knowledge about the history of each store and the specialty of each dish adds the wing to the farmers market. Two hours were quickly disappeared in the morning. Please save your own breakfast because the tour provides a lot of food!!

Our tour guide Barbara spent hours with us explaining the history of the Los Angeles Farmers Market and introduced us to many of the vendors of the family owned stalls. This is a flat walking area with no steps and is easy to navigate. We stopped several times and ate at tables that are located through out the entire market. Barbara gave us history of the different stalls and the families that run them. She selected delicious food and gave us tips on other stalls if we were to come back (which we did two days later!). I have a gluten allergy and she made changes so that every time we stopped for food I was included in the experience. Fantastic tour and Los Angeles is very lucky to have such a wonderful place for locals and visitors to experience.

Love the varieties of foods and the ambience that they have managed like the old days. The price is average but can be lower. The parking is sufficient enough. It was our second trip going there. The first one is in December 2017

What a great way to spend the morning! So much history and excellent food - Barbara's energy and knowledge, friendships around the market and obvious passion made this an experience we'll never forget. Thank you again Barbara!
