We travelled from Ubud. From there it is a car ride, speed boat, then another car ride, all totaling about 3 hours one way. Once we got there at delinking, you only really spend 20mins to get in line and take a couple photos. Although the view is stunning, it’s too dang busy and touristy to have any chance to soak in the view. Everything adjacent to the view, including the journey there, was torturous lol. Snorkeling was also not too good as the waters were very choppy. In combination with the stops being overcrowded with other tourists boats, “petrol smell,” it creates a very hectic, chaotic, nauseating experience. Overall would not recommend but am giving 3 stars cuz the itinerary is “technically” accurate. Skip, unless somehow already near by!

Big disappointment
I did not like this island at all. Admittedly, I was able to take some pretty photos, but at what cost! A 5-minute wait, in a line... for each one, so that the Instagrammers could take theirs... very complicated places by car, where only one-way traffic works, alternating. Polluted, poorly maintained island. No security on the walking trails! It is mind-blowing! We lost 1 day of our time.
