Due to the weather, the hike with a tea ceremony turned into a visit to a shrine, a temple, and the beautiful Shukkeien Garden. Michi explained everything to us well and clearly. The tea ceremony took place in the shrine itself, hosted by Michi.

Stephanie was amazing! She kept sharing interesting stories and local trivia. If you are looking for something beyond the standard Atomic Bomb tour, this is it. I would describe it as Hiroshima's hidden-gem tour, and it's definitely something I'd proudly recommend to others.

Stephanie created a very nice experience for us. She is so kind, funny and thoughtful. She shared many interesting details about the shrines we passed, how to show respect to the gods and about Hiroshimas past. The tea ceremony was really special, although the forest bathing was to me, personally (and surprisingly), the best part. It was a little bit (too) expensive, but I totally recommend this activity!

Our guide Stephanie was awesome! She explained everything so clearly and thoroughly across the shrines. We loved how she shared little details that would go unnoticed, made the trip fun and interactive through small quizzes and activities. The best part of the tour, in addition to understanding the cultural symbolism, was the forest bathing and the open air matcha tea ceremony at the end. Stephanie is amazing! We loved our time here and will keep coming back to go to all the places she recommended we couldn’t in this trip.

When I visited Hiroshima, I participated in the climbing experience that ASAGESHIKI is doing. Although it was a short time, there were many shrines enshrining the deity along the way, and we were able to experience Japanese culture and faith while feeling nature. It also made me think about the history of Hiroshima. It was very pleasant to take a little break from my busy life and feel nature slowly. Spending time in nature relaxed my body and mind, and I felt that my daily worries were a little lighter. Finally, I was also impressed by the quiet time we spent drinking tea. Through this experience, I felt that sightseeing is not only about going to new places, it is also about taking time to feel nature, culture and history and to face yourself slowly.

I have never really liked mountain climbing and usually spend a lot of time indoors. When I visited tourist sites, I often took a picture and immediately moved on to the next location, so I didn't have much opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the place. However, on this trip, it was very refreshing to learn a lot about history and region that you would not normally touch while walking in the mountains. I thought one way to enjoy the trip was not only to spend a short period of time exploring the sights, but also to take the time to get to know the places while walking slowly. I also experienced forest bathing for the first time. For me, who doesn't usually spend much time outside, spending time in the forest was a very refreshing and interesting experience. Lying down in the forest, talking slowly and calming my mind, listening to the sounds of nature, like the wind and trees, which I was not usually aware of, gave me a very soothing feeling. Through this experience, I learned that there are new ways to enjoy spending time in the mountains and nature, which I had not been interested in before. From now on, when I visit tourist sites, I want to not only take pictures, but also enjoy the place while feeling relaxed.

It's such a great tour. While enjoying mountain climbing in Hiroshima in the morning, we also learned about the history of Hiroshima. It was a very pleasant experience, with time to relax and drink tea in nature.

I joined the asageshiki tour this time, and not only did I climb Mt. Futaba, but my guide explained the history of the mountain and Hiroshima in detail, so I was able to learn more than just hiking. The scenery I climbed was spectacular and gave me a panoramic view of Hiroshima, which took away my fatigue from climbing. Also, tea on the mountain was a good experience that I don't usually feel. It was a good tour, interesting to hear from the guide and very educational.

It was such a wonderful experience to be able to feel the history and culture of Hiroshima on the morning mountain climb. I was really glad to participate because I was able to experience the charms of Hiroshima, which are hard to find in regular sightseeing. The guides were very kind and we enjoyed the warm atmosphere throughout. If you are visiting Hiroshima, this is a program you should definitely try once.

I am from Hiroshima Prefecture and at first I was told that I would only climb mountains, so I decided to join with the knowledge that I would only climb local mountains. As the experience progressed, we asked about the god in the mountains, the relationship between Mt. Futaba and Hiroshima, and the maintenance of the trail on Mt. Futaba. And the forest bathing on the way to the top of the mountain was especially impressive. In the forest bathing, you had to use your five senses to feel nature with your whole body. I was able to experience experiences and the passage of time that I could not experience in my daily life. We then had tea after arriving at the top. From the top, I could feel the tea drinking while looking at the whole of Hiroshima such as the city where I usually live, Hiroshima Station where I started, Miyajima more delicious. In total, the idea was not only to listen to the guides, but also to keep the participants more entertained, such as forest bathing, and at the top, to enjoy the view of Hiroshima that appeared in the story over tea. It was a lot of fun.
