Our guide Arnold was very knowledgeable about the trees and plants in the area. Tram ride was beautiful and we had a great time seeing all the beautiful scenes and the butterfly sanctuary.
Very safe yet exciting time. The staff are terrific. Friendly and genuine. Tasty food available in the snack bar / restaurant.
Great way to easily see a forest near Jaco. Its about 10-12 mins away if youre staying close to any of the Jaco beach hotels. Our tour guide "Arnold" as in Schwarzenegger was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and a true conservationist. He taught us so many things about the various species of plants, trees, and animals native to 🇨🇷. We saw toucan, some doves, and a Costa Rican racoon. About 2 hour total trip for the tram and butterfly garden.

Sebastian was great. He had a lot of knowledge about the area and was good a pointing out animals. The tram is slow moving and quiet. It gives you enough time to take a photo or 2. The medicinal garden was nice. Seeing bats up close in the wild was great. The butterfly garden was definitely the highlight.

We got there for our 11 am tram "tour" but didn't get on untill about 11:45 due to a very rowdy bunch of teens waiting for the tram to use the zip line. Come to find out the "tour" is simply riding to the top and not taking the zip line down. For an extra $20 you can hire a "guide". We opted not to. We saw absolutely no wildlife, probably because there isn't any due to all the noise from the zip line riders. There is a small lookout platform which you really just see trees. Super disappointing. To make matters worse, they couldn't find my reservation, but luckily I had downloaded my tickets. The butterfly garden was actually better than the tram "tour". Don't waste your money on this. I wish we hadn't.

Scam. No amimals or birds. Don't go. Save your money. Guide showed us a wasp. I asked guide when was the last time you even saw a monkey. Guide said you need to go to mangroves where the food is to see monkeys. So they know zero animals. Scam. We saw non stop animals at carara and Manuel Antonio National Parks for less money. Go there instead.

While we take pride in being a primary rainforest sanctuary rather than a zoo, we understand the frustration of not seeing specific wildlife like monkeys during your visit.
