Unfortunately, the pickup point on the offline ticket was stated as Galataport. We stood where the other guides were picking up their groups as well. Since we had no phone or internet, which one cannot expect in a non-European country, the guide did not reach us. I would have expected someone to briefly look for us at this meeting point. It would also have been helpful to leave a phone number on the mobile offline ticket, as the guides I spoke to wanted to help me contact Viator or the guide by phone. Thus, we paid dearly for an excursion and saw nothing!!!

Our tour guide was spectacular and I highly recommend booking this. I enjoyed being able to ask questions and Emre (our guide) was incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. The tour was just the right amount of time and worth the price!

Our guide Mert was wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and spoke clear and fluent English. We enjoyed our visit very much!

We had Umut who was lovely, he waited for my father who was late due to his walking speed, and then he did an amazing job sharing the history and stories and then as a bonus shared restaurant tips. The Hagia Sophia... And Blue Mosque, stunning! Also, we didn't do it, but you can add on the Basilica Cistern, and we wish we had!

Great tour. Our guide had excellent English and was very knowledgeable and friendly. The blue mosque and Hagia Sofia are well worth a visit. There were a couple of comfort breaks. The audio assist meant that we could hear everything our guide said perfectly and were comfortable for the duration of the tour (2.5 hours without the Cistern which we will go back to see). Enjoy

Excellent tour, if you have a knowledgeable and personable guide. Our guide, Umut Ozdiker, gave us excellent overview of the history of the Blue Mosque, Haige Sophia and the Hippodrome. The pace of the tour was good…not too fast or too slow. You must be able to walk and stand for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Haige Sophia is under renovation with lots of scaffolding and blocked views…but still a must see if you’re in Istanbul. This tour was half the price of the cruise excursion…and Umut was more interesting and engaging than the ship’s guest lecturer on Istanbul. Would highly recommend.

Mert, our tour guide, was exceptional. His knowledge was fantastic and a sense of humour to go with it. Not only was his knowledge of the sites we were seeing amazing, his overall general knowledge and understanding of of the world around him excellent. Could not recommend him highly enough!

Our guide Umit Baran was really excellent! We learned so much that we extended the tour and went with him on the tour to the cistern and then chatted with him for an extra 15 minutes after the tour!
