Gabriele was truly a one-of-a-kind tour guide, and I honestly don’t think we could have asked for a better person to guide us through this experience. Not only was he incredibly personable, patient, and kind, but his knowledge was IMPRESSIVE. There’s a huge difference between having someone simply point out different sights along the way and having a guide who can actually tell you the history, stories, facts, and context behind what you’re seeing. Gabriele knew so much about the areas we visited and Italy as a whole, and I genuinely walked away feeling like I had learned more from spending the day with him than I could have learned from sitting online researching everything myself. He also gave us so many great recommendations throughout the day and never made the experience feel rushed. You could tell that he genuinely knew the area and cared about making sure we had a memorable experience. A little advice for anyone booking this tour: wear comfortable walking shoes! You’ll definitely be doing some walking. I’d also recommend bringing a bathing suit and potentially a change of clothes. When you stop in beautiful Vernazza, you may absolutely find yourself wanting to get into that gorgeous water! I would do this entire tour all over again—not only because of all the beautiful places we were able to see, but because we had someone so wonderful guiding us along the way. Gabriele, thank you for your patience, your kindness, your recommendations, and for sharing so much knowledge with us. You truly made an already beautiful experience that much more special.
