Wonderful trip back in time! The guided tour in Magnolia home was very informative and interesting. The walking tour was fun.

We had a great experience at Magnolia Plantation with Adventure Sightseeing. Greg, our guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He made us feel like we'd known him forever. My husband and I are from New England and do a lot of guided historic tours. We see roughly 5-10 colonial, pre-Revolutionary homes/museums a year. We have toured Gilded Age mansions in Newport, RI. We appreciated the grounds of Magnolia Plantation and the nature ride. The gardens are very impressive, and the natural habitat surrounding the mansion makes you feel like you are in a national forest. The mansion tour was ok. The tour includes 3 rooms downstairs and a walk-through of 2 rooms upstairs. The artifacts are original. The main cash crops of the plantation were rice and indigo, and we saw demonstrations of that as well. Overall, we give it a B+.

Transport on a small coach bus (~20 people) is convenient and comfortable from the bus shed at the Charleston Visitor Center. Was supposed to leave at 10am, but bus was late so we didn't leave until 10:30 and arrived at Magnolia around 11. The tour started with a 45min (machine) narrated "train" ride at 11:30am through the plantation which was good (saw some alligators and a turtle). Our 30-45 min house tour was then scheduled for 1pm and we had to meet the bus at 2:30 to go back to Charleston. With these tour slots, there really was no time for the "slave house tour" (included with the Magnolia plantation ticket) or the river boat tour (would have been extra money). Being in the low country, it's very humid and bugs were definitely out. Interesting to see if you have time, but not the highlight of our Charleston visit.

Great way to get from Charleston out to Magnolia Plantation and back. Guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. Once on site he led us on a tour of the plantation and we also had a tram ride around the plantation as well.

Great tour everyone we encountered were very knowledgeable

My wife and I enjoyed our tour of Magnolia Plantation. The grounds and gardens are amazing. While the house was interesting, the grounds and gardens were the star of this tour. I'm trying to write a shout-out to our tour guide, Shaun. I can't find the right words, but there is a smile on my face just thinking about how his personality made the tour that much more fun.

Beautiful plantation! The house brings some nostalgia to visitors like me. Truly enjoyed visiting it!

The plantation is beautiful! The house is awesome. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent experience.

Highly recommended! Tour was well structured and very organized from beginning to end. Gary our guide, was amazing and accomodating all throughout the entire tour.
