It’s great experience with my children and family in Boon Hall! Perfect weather.

What a great experience. Learned about the plantation and it's history. Spent a good portion of the day and enjoyed every minute. This is a must see attraction if you are visiting Charleston.

Take your time and try to listen to as many talks as you can ( very well done and interesting). Great ice cream.

A good day learning how Boone Plantation has transformed throughout the years. Each guide was very informative. Only complaint is if the speaker on the tour of the grounds had his volume on a little louder due to the noise.

Thankful that I read reviews ahead of time and saved money by booking directly with Boone Hall for $27 per person with AAA discount. The plantation is privately owned and a beautiful piece of property. If you’ve never learned about the horrors of slavery, this is not the place to receive an in depth education, however it is great opportunity to see an amazing landscape. If you’d like a nice photo of the avenue of the oaks, there’s a small pull out when you enter the avenue. You can stop and get out of your car for a great photo. You may bring your own drinks and snacks, but there is a small cafe on property. One important thing to note- if you or anyone in your party has an accessibility issue, this property is not accessible. The house tour has multiple levels of steps, all of the slave houses have steps, the garden paths are brick lined and very narrow. While the grass may be able to accommodate a wheelchair or walker, the sandy roadway will not.

Very well informed staff gave entertaining descriptions of the plantation, the owners and the slave activity . The schedule of talks and tours gave plenty of time to see and hear it all. So much to see and learn about Antebellum America

Schedule yourself for at least 3-4 hours to get full experience. Squeezed in a visit in 2.5 hours, but I had been there a few years ago and skipped a few things. Beautiful, interesting place for nature, history, architecture lovers. They are well-organized and no “add on” fees for special tours—everything included in admission fee. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable.
