Ben Tre played much better than we expected.
Me and three friends wanted to experience something different than city tours.
Andy led us to small villages, coconut factories, and we even cycled along narrow little roads, with almost no tourists.
The boat trip was very pleasant after a warm afternoon. We laughed a lot all day long.
The food is simple but really good.
If you prefer slow travel rather than just running by the list, then this trip is worth a try.

Nice break from my own thoughts
I had been traveling solo around Southeast Asia for a month and was getting a bit tired of planning everything myself.
Booked the Ben Tre trip and let someone else handle the details for once.
The slow boat ride through the canals was probably my favorite moment.
Nothing dramatic happened. No "must-see attraction" feeling.
Just water, trees, local life and some quiet time. Sometimes that's enough.
