Booked tour day before . We turned up at the correct location only to see no boat. We rang operator only to be told their Viator booking system was not working and 5hey did not have our booking. Not great so our plans were thrown into chaos . Fortunately we were able to find another tour so all was not lost. I am hoping for a quick return of our money paid.
Our day with Alessio and Kalos 5 Terre Boating Tours was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Italy. What made this experience so special was how personal it felt from start to finish. Alessio took the time to listen to our family and tailor the day to our interests, bringing us to beautiful spots that felt private, authentic, and far from the crowds. Rather than feeling like customers on a tour, we felt like guests being shown around by a friend. The stop in Portovenere was incredible. Enjoying fresh pesto, focaccia, and gelato was exactly the perfect break and gave us a chance to experience the charm of the town at a relaxed pace. Throughout the day, Alessio and his team made us feel like family, not just another booking. Their hospitality, local knowledge, and genuine care created memories that we’ll talk about for years to come. If you’re visiting Cinque Terre and looking for a truly personalized boating experience, we cannot recommend Kalos 5 Terre Boating Tours highly enough. Booked tour last minute, the morning of an afternoon tour. Immediately after booking got a phone call from the operator that water was too rough for pick up in the village we booked. The instructions changed several times on where to meet and the time to meet through the afternoon. We ultimately had to travel over an hour each way to get to the boat. But then we were notified that the tour we booked of Cinque Terre was actually going to be a different tour of another location. We were trying to be flexible and still ok with the trip. But then we got there and although very kind, the tour operator did not speak English as advertised. The tour length was then 3 hrs instead of the advertised 4 hrs. The tour also advertised stopping at a village which we didn’t do. In the end while not totally unenjoyable it was nothing like we booked and definitely not worth the time or money paid. Requested 50% refund which was denied. Would not recommend booking with this company.
We immediately informed the guest that sea conditions were too rough to safely visit the Cinque Terre. Despite this, we made every effort to offer her the opportunity to enjoy a pleasant day on the water, which, in fact, she did. The guest spent more time on board than originally scheduled and also enjoyed food and drinks during the excursion. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the itinerary could not be the one originally planned. However, the guest was informed of this in advance and was given the option not to participate. Had she chosen not to proceed, we would have gladly provided a full refund without any issue. Regarding the language spoken during the experience, the guest communicated directly with one of our staff members, who speaks English fluently. For this reason, we do not understand the basis of the statement claiming that English was not spoken as advertised. While we regret that the guest was disappointed, we believe that we acted transparently, communicated the necessary changes promptly, and did our utmost to provide an enjoyable alternative experience despite the unfavorable weather conditions.
We had such a nice day on the boat with Alessio. He really listened to what we wanted and took us to some really beautiful spots along the coast. Everything felt very relaxed and easy, and he made the whole day just really enjoyable. Seeing Cinque Terre from the sea was honestly so nice, and stopping in Portovenere for gelato was such a good addition. He knows the area really well and made sure we got the most out of the day. If you’re thinking about doing this, just do it, it’s really worth it. I’m so happy we went with Alessio. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip, would really recommend.
Amazing experience! It's two weeks in Italy, but this tour was the most rewarding and magical!
Kalos is something you don't expect. Not a simple tour, but the chance 'to visit beautiful places in Liguria with those who soon become in fact "friends" (a super thanks to Alessio for his professionalism' and friendliness').

My sister and I booked this boat tour last minute in La Spezia/Cinque Terre and it was the best day of our trip! Meeting spot in La Spezia was right next to our cruise ship/port and crew was so much fun! The captain was amazing and took us to the most beautiful towns and swimming spots, with delicious food and drinks on board. Special shoutout to Alessio — who made the day so much fun! He kept us laughing, kept the drinks full, gave us snorkeling gear, and even showed us around town after. If you’re visiting Cinque Terre, this tour is a must. 10/10 recommend! 🚤🇮🇹
Our plans changed while we were in La Spezia on a Princess Cruise and we booked this excursion last minute! I couldn’t have been happier with that decision. We were picked up at the port and taken to Portovenere to walk around and see the sights! The guide bought us some local focaccia bread and had drinks ready for us. We did the option to visit a couple of towns in Cinque Terre while also stopping to swim. The crew was fantastic and I would highly recommend this to everyone!
