Nikolai, our guide was very knowledgeable and funny. He taught the group plenty about Japanese traditions and history, and made me understand much more about Shinto and Buddhist religious practices. Meiji was also very beautiful and peaceful. Furthermore, we had a lovely walk through Harajuku to witness and take part in all the pop culture spectacle. I learned a lot about the different subcultures of Japan and Tokyo

Meiji Shrine tour Harujuku history & pop-culture tour
Grant with Sunrise Adventures was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He really understands the Japanese culture and history. Grant also gave us helpful information for our stay in Japan. We highly recommend this Meiji Shrine tour and we hope you are fortunate enough to have Grant as your guide.

It was a great history lesson of the shrine and temple. Rohan answered all of my questions. He spoke perfect english for an Australia whonhas lived in Japan for 35 years

Very friendly and informative guide
Yu was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. She talked us through the latest trends on show In Harajuku and then about the history of the Shrine, the Royal Family and Shinto religion. We had a great 2 hours with her.

An awesome and nice day.
Our guide was Grant, an awesome person, funny, and sharing interesting stories and gossip about Tokyo and Japan. He makes the Meiji experience an unforgettable day. I will be proud to repeat it again with him.

For those who do not mind taking a tour in English, with Grant you will have no problem; he speaks English with perfect diction, you understand him 100%, and this is said by someone who does not have a high level of English. A cheerful and wonderful person, with extensive knowledge about Japan and its culture. A 100% success.

Fantastic cultural tour
Our family really enjoyed this tour. We learned so much about Japanese culture, customs and history with a perfect mix of modern day Harajuku and the beautiful Meiji shrine. We were lucky to see a wedding procession that day at the shrine. Our guide Niko was very informative and friendly. The tour was only a few hours so you have the rest of the day to eat, shop and explore. Highly recommend.

Cool experience
Yu is a brilliant guide. Very informative and friendly. Harajuku is a beautiful area, and the animal cafes are just way too cute. Highly recommend this tour. Thanks Yu, I had a fantastic time.
